Your Vampire Story

Puakai (ocean Flower)
You were on a cruise in the pacific ocean. It was a nice warm night and you couldn’t sleep, so you went for a walk onto the deck. the water was beautiful, the moon was high, the stars were shining. There wasn’t a single sound other than the waves crashing onto the sides of the ship. You hear foot steps behind you and turn around slowly, thinking that sudden movements would disturb the beautiful ocean. Behind you is a man, tall handsome, with silvery blonde hair in the moonlight. “Nice night isn’t it?” He whispers not wanting to disturb the beautiful veiw. “It is,” you agree “The water is so beautiful, and its very warm. Don’t you ever wish you could just leap off the side of the boat, and land in the ocean?” you say in a whisper. the man chuckles and walks closer to you, “Well tonight, you may just get your wish.” He’s behind you in a second and he pulls you in close to him, pull your hair back from your neck bites you. You gasp and struggle a little, he doesn’t bite for very long, but when he’s done he pushes you off the side and you fall into the ocean.You can’t feel a thing, all you know is your sinking. You know the water is entering your lungs because your mouth is open and you are slowly drifting farther down. You lose sight either because you blacked out, or because you were that far down. you feel something grab your arm. you try to shake it off buts its too strong. All of a sudden you’re rising up again, and you realize its a person on your arm. When your head breaks the surface of the water, you look to see who saved you. You realize you must have been drifting along a current because the water is now a turquoise instead of dark blue. You’re in Hawaii, and the person who saved you is a young girl with tan skin and blonde hair and blue eyes. You don’t remember anything from the cruise other than the man and the water. you ask the girl your name and she says ” I don’t know your name, but I can give you a name if you like.” you nod considering you have no other option. “Puakai” the girl says “It means ocean flower in Hawaiian. I figured since I found you in the ocean, it’s suitable.” “Puakai” you say testing out your new name. “I like it.” then the girl’s face goes pale. She notices the colour of your eyes. They are blood red. She starts swimming away fast, you don’t understand why then you see your reflection in the water, and you too notice your eyes. You know what you have become, but you are still confused, the sun is out and you are not burning. You swim to the main land, but when you get on land, your skin starts to burn so you run back to the ocean and start to swim away. the burning has gone but you can’t believe what you are. in the middle of the ocean you find a small stretch of land and since its night you crawl onto it. there you find that you are starving, so you go to find some form of food, and you notice that fruits no longer appeal to you, it’s the monkey that does. You catch a monkey when you hear a cry from a person. you run towards the sound and find that it’s a group of people. you get closer and realize, they too are vampires. they were just like you, cast into the sea when they were turned. You live with them for a while, when you decide it’s time to go your own way. You leap back into the ocean and greet it like a friend. You find some undersea caves and you live in them. Later you discover you can control the waves, and current. You become friends with some of the sea creatures, and as a result of living in the sea for so long your hair turns sea green, and becomes tangles with seaweed but you don’t mind, it looks good. you make a dress out of fish scales because your clothes were slowing down your swimming. One night you swim back to Hawaii and find that little girl. She recognizes you and you tell her you won’t hurt her. You tell her what happened, and she warms up to you. Both of you become friends, and she calls you the Goddess of the sea. You live Happily in the ocean.
